Theresa Kuiken is the VP of Marketing at the NSLS. She is spearheading the marketing transformation of the organization from a functional focus to a data-led, member-first innovative driver for the business. Focusing on thought leadership, brand perception, and building the business at scale, Theresa seamlessly marries the creative with the analytical to drive results.

A respected and credible voice in decision making, Theresa has been a strategic leader on executive level teams in Luxury, Travel, Fine Art, and Fashion/Accessories. A “change agent” who has expertly steered brands and staff through transitional business phases, Theresa is an expert at turn-around scenarios on a local and international level. She is a brand steward and master communicator who creates brand affinity through engaging and compelling storytelling. 

Previously, as Vice President of Marketing and Product at Flight Centre, Theresa reimagined the marketing and product strategy for the $1 billion leisure business in the United States, revolutionizing how the company approaches revenue management. Earlier, Theresa was the Head of Marketing at Omega Watches, North America. During her tenure, she established the in-house marketing organization, digital drivers of the brand through social media, SEO, and content optimization, and also oversaw the sports, celebrity, and retailer partnerships. She was successful in reinvigorating a languishing brand back to a #2 market position. She began her career in advertising sales at ELLE Magazine and enjoyed successful runs launching Tommy Hilfiger Eyewear on a global level, overseeing all marketing, sales, and merchandising. 

Theresa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University with graduate coursework in digital marketing at Columbia University. She is the proud Head of Marketing and Community Engagement for JERSEYSTEM, a non-profit organization that promotes excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math education, focusing on girls in underserved communities to bridge the opportunity gaps in education. Theresa is delighted to align her personal passion of education with her marketing and business development experience to lead the team at the NSLS.

Theresa is happiest when surrounded by her two daughters, family, friends, and a good home-cooked meal. While her personal passion is travel and enjoying new experiences, Theresa equally enjoys the peaceful solitude of being near open water and can be found, as often as possible, floating in her canoe in the middle of a lake with a good book.
