The NSLS Chapter Leader Internship will help you make a lasting legacy on campus, learn key skills sought after by hiring managers, and get paid in the process.
Be assigned a mentor and meet weekly to develop your leadership skills.
Work only 5 to 7 hours a week (flexible around your class schedule) for two semesters and receive $15 per hour (or state or local minimum wage).*

Participate in leadership training with NSLS to learn how to establish and run a leadership organization on campus.
Receive training, templates, and resources on how to recruit 4+ executive board members of your organization.
Receive training, templates, and resources on how to recruit a full-time faculty or staff member as a Chapter Advisor.
Receive training then establish a leadership organization either as a student organization/club or be associated with a specific academic department.
Participate in virtual training retreats and weekly video meetings with the NSLS.
Complete assigned tasks within specified timelines.
Improve communication and time management.
Engage in team collaboration and network with peers.
Gain experience in marketing and event planning.
Strengthen public speaking skills.
Learn organization and planning methods.
Establish goals and determine how to achieve them.
Current student at a U.S. college/university with at least two semesters remaining.
Minimum 2.75+ GPA.
Actively engaged in school and community activities.
Able to dedicate up to 5 hours/week.
Highly organized self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable presenting and working with teams (experience preferred).
Access to reliable internet and a webcam for online training and meetings.
Proficient with video conferencing tools and Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Slides).
