Mentorship & Learning

Not only does your NSLS membership serve as a great resume builder, but it also sets you apart as a leader in the eyes of admission counselors and employers. Here are just some of the benefits you'll experience as you expand your leadership education with dedicated support along the way.

  • Participate with your NSLS peers in goal setting, accountability, and commitment to action with your Success Networking Team.
  • Work with professional success coaches to improve your skills, refine focus, and shortcut your path to success.
  • A professionally administered communication assessment tool (DiSC) that will help you identify your own communication style, teach you to recognize and appreciate other styles, and prepare you to interact effectively with others.
  • After completion of the leadership training program, you’ll receive a leadership training certificate.
Scholarships & Awards

Don’t let funding stand between you and your dreams. The NSLS Foundation offers many scholarships and awards, which are based on a desire to make a difference, service, member excellence, and financial need.

  • Get access to scholarships and awards ranging from $500 - $7,500 each, totaling over $400,000 per year for tuition, community service, educational assistance, and achieving your personal goals.
  • Apply for three different types of awards, including mission-based and need-based scholarships and grants, as well as Stephen Covey Tribute Awards.
  • Additional scholarships are available to inducted members.
Jobs & Internships

The NSLS sets you up for success after college by preparing you with the tools and resources you need to help land your dream job.

  • Boost your resume by getting leadership certification to help you stand out among your peers.
  • Apply to jobs/internships and get exclusive access to employers seeking to hire NSLS members.
  • Receive an online interview series with career experts to guide you in landing your dream job.
  • After your induction, receive a personalized letter of recommendation that you can send to employers and admissions offices.
  • Explore opportunities for local, regional, or national leadership positions in the NSLS.
Community & Events

Make the most of your college experience by becoming part of a community that works together to build a better world. Form connections and build relationships with other students at your local chapter, and benefit from a larger community exceeding two million members.

  • Meet other goal-oriented people and make friends at social events, fundraising events, service projects, and other NSLS gatherings.
  • Join more than two million members at more than 800 colleges in a network of support and motivation.
Speaker Series

Discover the ways in which highly successful people overcome challenges, create change, and use their leadership for good in the world. As a member of NSLS, you'll get access to content that can inspire and motivate you to get started and build your dreams.

  • Gain access to a series of six live streamed Speaker Broadcasts per year by celebrities, authors, activists, motivational speakers, and entrepreneurs on relevant topics facing students and graduates.
  • Access past presentations online from about 100 nationally renowned NSLS speakers.
