NSLS members continue to excel as leaders long after they've achieved induction and graduated from college. The NSLS Foundation encourages honor society alumni to nurture lifelong leadership skills, and the Alumni Award recognizes those who are living the values of the NSLS in their lives and careers beyond campus.
The NSLS Continuing Impact Scholarship recognizes NSLS members beyond their first year of membership who exemplify sustained dedication to community engagement and leadership. This scholarship celebrates those who create meaningful, ongoing contributions to their communities or chapters, inspiring others to do the same.

We recognize that working toward a personal goal takes unlimited hard work, unyielding determination, and unbreakable courage that must defy all odds. The purpose of this grant is to support individuals in achieving their dream.
The NSLS encourages our members to strive to be the healthiest versions of themselves. Whether that means managing stress and self-care, staying active through daily movement, or pursuing certification as a yoga instructor or personal trainer, the NSLS supports students' holistic well-being. The Healthy Living Grant provides financial assistance to aid individuals on their unique wellness journey.
This scholarship is available exclusively to members who are continuing their leadership journey as a registered participant of our Executive Leadership Certification. Through the completion of this program, members shift from being the mentee to being the mentor and from practicing leadership to living it. The Executive Leadership Certification explores topics like inclusive leadership, unconventional solutions, and expanding perspective. Further, students are responsible for planning, organizing, and completing their own NSLS Better World Project as a program capstone.
New members are joining the NSLS every day, and the NSLS Foundation recognizes that many of these members will make an impact on their chapters, communities, and their own lives almost immediately. The New Member Scholarship honors excellent students in their first semester as NSLS members.
This scholarship is available exclusively to NSLS members who are registered for the Advanced Leadership Certification. This program allows members to continue their leadership journey, shifting their focus self-growth to service of others as they motivate and empower those around them. The Advanced Leadership Certification explores topics like diversity of leadership styles, emotional intelligence, and leveraging personal strengths, while also outlining how to identify and secure a mentor. Further, students acquire the skills needed to navigate challenging situations that emerge across teams through experiential, in-the-moment problem solving.
The NSLS Foundation designates a certain amount of scholarship funds for students in need of financial assistance toward their undergraduate or graduate degrees. This scholarship is intended to support higher education endeavors by assisting with non-tuition academic expenses such as textbooks, travel to educational conferences, study abroad opportunities, room and board, housing, commuting, childcare, or other financial needs while pursuing higher education.
The United by Purpose: Building Equitable Leaders Scholarship supports the NSLS’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Our organization aims to develop leaders who foster a sense of belonging for everyone, with careful attention to the ways race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, and socioeconomic status can impact both who has a seat at the table and who feels welcome to be there. We support our entire community as we work alongside all who are adversely affected every day in large and small ways by forms of systemic injustice.
