With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and a 2025 MBA graduate of Colorado Technical University, Renota Wade has built a career focused on improving systems, guiding teams, and delivering meaningful results.
Her recent recognition as a Top Revenue Cycle Management Strategist by the International Association of Top Professionals reflects both her technical expertise and her ability to lead with purpose.
At the core of her approach is a belief that great leadership comes with great responsibility.
"Leadership signifies serving as the roadmap to the destination, while bearing the responsibility for passengers' safe arrival," she says.
Turning Complexity Into Clarity
Wade's work centers on one of the most intricate areas of healthcare operations: revenue cycle management. In her current leadership role, she oversees financial processes and ensures efficiency across the full lifecycle, from initial patient interaction to final reimbursement.
From leading teams through operational challenges in previous roles to implementing process improvements that drive results, Wade has consistently approached complex problems with a strategic lens. Her ability to bring clarity to complicated systems has made her a trusted leader in her field.
Beyond her core responsibilities, she continues to contribute to the broader industry. She serves on an advisory board for the College of Business and Management at Colorado Technical University and has held leadership positions in professional organizations, reinforcing her commitment to both excellence and advancement in healthcare finance.
The Work Behind the Work
For Wade, success is not just about technical knowledge. It is about the discipline to grow, reflect, and to work well with others.
"The NSLS educated me on the importance of reflecting on my strengths and weaknesses and actively working on areas requiring improvement," she says. "Additionally, it taught me how to establish support groups for projects and lead them effectively."
That focus on having a growth mindset shows up in how she approaches opportunity.
"There is never perfect timing to start your passion and pursue your purpose," she says. "You will learn on the job with continuous improvement."
It is a mindset that values action over hesitation, and progress over perfection.
Inspired by the Leader Within
When asked about a leader she looks up to, Wade gives an answer that stands out.
"Myself," she says.
It is a response that reflects the confidence she has and also the results she's already seen through hard work. In many ways, it echoes the idea shared by Matthew McConaughey in his Academy Award speech, where he described his hero as a future version of himself always just out of reach.
Wade's reason why carries that same forward-looking energy.
"Because I am a visionary leader who has always overcome the most challenging obstacles in life and continues to push forward with great tenacity to pursue my goals."
Her perspective is not about arrival. It is about evolution.

Leading Means Always Learning
Wade's goals extend beyond her current role, guided by both professional ambition and a commitment to service.
"My long-term goal is to establish my businesses and build credible relationships in their respective industries."
She is also focused on expanding her impact through her nonprofit work with her organization TOUCH (Teaching Others U Can Heal).
"My next goal is to work more with my nonprofit TOUCH Foundation," she says. "Also, to be a lifelong learner and continue my education."
That combination of entrepreneurship, service, and continued learning reflects a leadership style grounded in growth and genuine contribution.
Renota's Advice for Future Leaders
For Wade, leadership is not measured by individual success alone, but by the ability to develop others along the way.
"Great leaders cultivate the development of future leaders," she says.
It is a principle that ties together her entire approach, from improving systems and leading teams to mentoring others and building toward what comes next.
