Congratulations to “Dream Support Grant” recipient Jennifer Kent, from the Society chapter at Southern New Hampshire University - College of Online and Continuing Education.
Jennifer Kent, a Society member since September 2014, is an online student at Southern New Hampshire University. As a “Dream Support Grant” recipient, she is writing a children’s book about childhood cancer. When it is complete, she is planning a special volunteer event to coincide with the book’s release.

As an undergrad from 2012-2015, Matt Borowicz was an active member of the University of Minnesota, Crookston Society chapter who double-majored in Health Sciences and Biology. Now, as a “Dream Support Grant” recipient, Matt is finishing up his first year as a dental student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

For many recent graduates and those on the cusp of graduation, the idea of networking is a scary proposition. It doesn’t have to be. In fact, let’s toss out the word “networking” and replace it with “relationships.” Networking, at its core, is all about relationships. You’re feeling better already, aren’t you? You’re currently in relationships with your fellow students, professors, friends, co-workers, family and perhaps even the barista at Starbucks. You’re essentially networking right now without even thinking about it. Every interaction you have is an opportunity to nurture an old relationship or create a new one.
